“Gallery exhibited over here has ILLUSION as its main theme. It is not just a dramtical representation rather it’s a medium of outcome of my views. I’m not a socialite or an orator to lit your souls. But it’s just my way of conveying my thoughts and feelings through them so that I can proudly say, I don’t just criticize but also take measures to overcome those obstacles which are on the way to success”. Namrata ended her short yet insightful speech with her eyes filled with emotions which conveyed more than her speech.

 

 

Namrata was clad in white salwar- kameez with sky blue dupatta. Her total body was covered except her eyes, ears and a part of her neck. No one had ever seen her complete face after that terrible accident.

 

Sameer was looking at various art pieces but his eyes following her in the crowd. His heart was pounding when she started to approach him. He felt as if his heart would come out breaking his ribs. She was his high school love and he couldn’t get into relationship with any girl or even never came that closer to any other girl  after her.

 

Namrata thought she has seen that guy somewhere but couldn’t recall him. But as she approached him she remembered in a flash like something reminded her it was her school buddy. When she recognized him, her eyes twilightened like an eight year old girls eyes sparkle on watching fireworks. He loved this innocence of her and which kept him  away from getting into any relation. She darted in the crowd to meet him .They shared a lot  their childhood memories like two old comrades. He smiles at her unchanged character but he remembers her introductory speech which revealed a lot metamorphosis in her attitude yet she had preserved her innocence. They have a long chat and both get parted away with promises of meeting again on their weekends.

 

Sameer is a CEO of an overseas company. He was a graduate from MIT and excelled in his future. He was in India for some important work and he came to know about Namrata .He was excited to meet her. In-between he used to rehearse his meeting with her in front of a mirror. But one day , out of anxiety and impatience he decides to meet her and give her a surprise. But in vane to his plans he comes to know the about her bitter past.

 

Sameer approaches their common friend and comes to know about the whole past and gets devastated by imagining himself in Namrata’s place.

Samyukata[common friend]narrated the story with great difficulty.” It happened so suddenly and their wasn’t eonugh time to understand or analyze the problem to solve it .Her parents got divorced . Her mother got married with another guy. She was completely devastated when her mother committed suicide on knowing the cold truth of her husband trying to sexually assault his step-daughter. Even though he couldn’t sexually assault her but he burnt her and transformed her into a soulless human being.Namrata was admitted into a hospital and she wasn’t recovering well .It wasn’t due to those severe burns rather due to psychological blow which she has experienced. It took nearly 3 years for her to become normal again. She even refused to undergo plastic surgery. Now her physical appearance wasn’t mattered at all to her, what really mattered was her decisions towards the social evils and their progress. She was a hope and inspiration to those who have lost spirit of life in themselves."

 

Sameer was overwhelmed by knowing her past to such extent that he doubted that DOES GOD REALLY EXISTS?AND IF HE DID, WHY DID IT HAPPENED TO HER? He was angry more upon himself as he wasn’t their with her when she needed him the most to hold her and console her. He wanted to embrace her and kiss her and  shield her from everyone who wanted to hurt her and he didn’t want allow her to disappear from his sight not even for a second. In this state of emotional dilemma he gathered himself and worked upon approaching her by changing his identity. He met her as an agent in disguise.

They both met frequently and Sameer had to go on an important business trip. Namrata in her loneliness started to think about their relationship which has crossed boundaries of friendship and when she comes to know about her real feelings towards him she was bewildered. One part her was  happy to know , she found her true love and other part was arguing, does she is the right person for such a good person and it made her clear every illusion about their relationship.

 

Sameer joyfully reaches India with lots of hopes to express his love towards her. But to his shock he receives her best regards for coming back addressing him rather herself .He gets furious but controls and for few days he senses some odd behavior in her. He gets furious and approaches her and express her real intentions about her and his plans of future along with her. She refuses him which shook’s his ground and he leaves without asking any reasons. They just get parted away in their lives.

After 4 yrs they accidentally meet each other in a conference. After seeing her, he senses strangeness in her and realizes that she has lost that real liveliness in her and she was pretending to others but he could see  through her and know everything. He approaches her and asks her to meet him one last time and she agrees as she looses her control on herself when she sees him even though she always was known for her impassiveness.

 

When they meet each other, he asks her reasons for denying him and with lot of courage she explains him the reason as she was not the right person for him and she was no more the same old person whom he used to admire in their childhood. Namrata abruptly says that they cannot live in illusion as earth and sky appears to meet at horizon but the truth is they cant meet. He gets frustated at her for the first time and outbursts and asks her to stop taking decisions about their future and he clears to her that he has loved her soul not her physical appearance and he doesn’t bother about her past because he wanted to live happily and live present and future and share boundary less happiness with her and he proposes her with tears in his eyes “I WILL LOVE YOU TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT NO ONE CAN LOVE YOU AND I CANT PROMISE YOU TO STOP LOVING EVEN IF I DIE & MY SOUL WILL AWAIT  FOR YOU TO JOIN ME” saying these words he starts to walk away after seeing her impassiveness still. Namrata transfixed by his words realizes it would be her last chance to get her true love which she always carved for from her parents and she couldn’t get in her life .She runs towards him and falls into his strong arms which can protect her from anyone in her life.

 

The story ends showing the sun set with a horizon may be in real earth and sky cannot meet but their souls meet each other always when those rain drops in the form of a message conveyed by sky how much he loves her[EARTH] and Earth experiences the love when those rain drops touches its surface .

 

Love need not be expressed by meager words rather they can be know by different ways of expressions like mother expresses her love towards her child by her touch and child by a smile which is as pure as GOD.
